Want to train to have new skills?

We offer training to become a lifeguard!

The five-day course provides people with the theory and practical skills needed to be a lifeguard. The course includes training in water safety, casualty recovery, CPR and emergency first aid. When you pass you will receive a Level 2 Pool Lifeguard qualification.

After passing the course you will be able to apply to work for us, and we will guarantee you an interview.

Are you aged 16-18? You may be able to do the course for free. Complete this form and we will contact you to discuss the free place and get you booked on a course.

We are running pool lifeguard courses on the following dates:

Monday 28th October - Friday 1st November, Askern Leisure Centre
Monday 25th November - Friday 29th November, Rossington Leisure Centre
Monday 17th February - Friday 21st February 2025, Askern Leisure Centre

Aquatic Helpers – do you have an interest in teaching and coaching swimming and would like to volunteer in your spare time? You will be required to attend an induction session and undergo an Enhanced DBS check. In return for volunteering, we will offer free training courses to enable you to become qualified and apply job roles. Crookhill Park Golf Course - undertake a variety of essential tasks, including bunker maintenance, path clearing, and tidying the edges of the driveway and car park.
