This role is an integral part of our Destination Marketing team, supporting the wider vision of DCLT to position Doncaster as a leading hub for leisure, culture, and social experiences

Working alongside the Destination Marketing Manager, you’ll help bring this vision to life, ensuring our venues continue to thrive as top attractions for visitors of all ages. 

VISION: To establish Doncaster’s destination venues as must-visit locations for leisure, entertainment, and hospitality, attracting visitors from near and far to enjoy unforgettable experiences, vibrant nightlife, and thrilling activities. Through engaging marketing and strong partnerships, we aim to drive tourism, community engagement, and economic growth, making Doncaster a top choice for days out and nights out.

Key Duties and Responsibilities 

Marketing & Promotion 

  • Support the Destination Marketing Manager in promoting Doncaster’s destination venues, including The Dome, Hatfield Outdoor Activity Centre & Campsite, and our two unique pubs, as must-visit locations for leisure and entertainment. 
  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns to drive footfall and visitor engagement. 
  • Create and support the creation of engaging content for social media, email marketing, and digital platforms to showcase events, activities, and experiences. 
  • Capture and curate photography and video content to enhance promotional efforts across multiple channels. 

 

Content & Design 

  • Support the creation of eye-catching promotional materials using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design tools. 
  • Work collaboratively to ensure all marketing materials are on-brand, visually appealing, and aligned with the overall marketing strategy

Event & Campaign Support 

  • Assist in the promotion of events and activities, ensuring strong audience engagement and ticket sales. 
  • Work with local businesses, tourism partners, and influencers to amplify campaign reach and visibility. 
  • Help manage on-the-ground marketing activations, including event photography and social media coverage. 

Digital & Data Insights 

  • Monitor and report on social media engagement, email marketing performance, and campaign analytics to refine strategies and improve outcomes. 
  • Keep up to date with trends in digital marketing, destination marketing, and consumer engagement to bring fresh ideas and innovative approaches. 

Collaboration & Development 

  • Work closely with the Destination Marketing Manager and wider marketing team to align campaigns with business goals. 
  • Develop relationships with local businesses, tourism boards, and hospitality partners to support cross-promotional opportunities. 
  • Participate in team meetings, networking events and external events to contribute ideas and overall reach.

  • Monitor and manage online reviews, social media interactions, and customer feedback, ensuring timely and appropriate responses to protect and enhance the organisation’s reputation. 
  • Stay informed on best practices in digital marketing, content creation, and brand management to ensure high-quality, ethical marketing execution. 
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, local businesses, and tourism partners to create marketing strategies that reflect the best interests of our community and stakeholders.
