Swim Lessons FAQs

They will need to wear suitable swimwear and bring a towel. If they wish, they can wear goggles during their lesson. You'll also need a pound coin or locker token for the lockers, and you may want to bring shower gel and shampoo for use in the showers after their lesson. 

Also, please ensure that they do not consume large amounts of food or drink and that they use the toilet before their lesson starts.

 You will receive a link via an e-mail directing you to the Home Portal. This will give you your options for the next stage. Once you have selected your option your child will move to this new session automatically.

You will receive an e-mail once your child has been awarded a certificate this email will contain a link directing you to the website to purchase a badge and a certificate, this will then arrive to you in the post

If you have not already done so at the point of joining lessons, you can inform us of your child's medical condition , please inform the teacher on your first visit.. This will assist our teachers when delivering lessons and this information will remain confidential.

Please let us know if your child is ill and they will not be attending their lesson.
If they have had diarrhoea or sickness in the 24 hours prior to their lesson they MUST not attend their lesson. They may still be able to pass on this illness to others during this period. 
If your child is ill for a short period, i.e. four weeks, you can continue to pay for their lessons and retain their space or cancel and join again once they have recovered. Please note refunds will not be given for lessons you are unable to attend.

Yes, the monthly subscription paid for lessons covers fifty weeks of the year allowing for two weeks when there are no lessons.

Your child will be able to access swim 4 all sessions free of charge across the DCLT sites as part of choose swim membership.

You will need to book via the DCLT website, using your child's DCLT account. Your username will be the email address your used when sign your child onto swimming lessons.  You will then need to request a forgotten password to setup the account.

if your child is under 8 years old, you are required to stay at the centre, either in the pool viewing area or changing area for the duration of their lesson.

No, it is not allowed to film or take any pictures in the viewing area, swimming pool or changing area at any time.
