Update on Thorne Leisure Centre - April 28th

Chris Hone, chief operating officer for Doncaster Culture and Leisure Centre, said:

“Works on phase one of the refurbishment of Thorne Leisure Centre are progressing well with work to re-line the pool, fully replacing the pool plant and poolside flooring all underway.

“The feasibility study on phase two, which will cover the health and fitness and wider leisure offer is taking place and we will be starting our community engagement late in May, early June.

“Our thanks go to the Ward Members for their continued support and involvement in helping to progress this project. It will be a real benefit to the community when it reopens in Spring 2024.”
