Thorne Leisure Centre update

Michael Hart, chief executive of Doncaster Culture and Leisure Centre (DLCT), said: “We want to thank South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue for their swift response in tackling the fire at Thorne Leisure Centre yesterday (2 February).

“We will be working closely with all partners to investigate the cause of the fire and assess the damage to the venue.

“We want to reassure our customers and local residents that works will continue to refurbish the venue as soon as it is safe to do so, and we’ll provide an updated timeline following these investigations.
